Good afternoon everyone.
Thanks for asking Blue - glad to say my DH has not had any side effects so far which is good.
We went to the theatre in London on Saturday afternoon to see a play called "This may hurt a bit" - Stephanie Cole was the lead (Doc Martin's aunt).
It is a comedy about the NHS & very thought provoking. The blurb had said it was about an elderly lady (Stephanie Cole) and her family's experience with the NHS. However at the beginning, her son went to the hospital about raised PSA & of course had prostate cancer. I wondered what I had booked for with DH sitting beside me, but luckily he found the consultation funny & could laugh at the poor man's experience.
It was well written and acted and showed all the inadequacies of the NHS but still managed to make you laugh, as well as think about where our NHS will end up.0 -
red glad to hear your OH was able to have a chuckle, they do say laughter is the best medicine, and whilst I am not sure I'd go that far, mindset does play a massive part in a persons wellbeing or recovery I believe.
Been quite sultry and humid here today, watching out for the rain to come. Tomatoes are growing in leaps and bounds though, Jeffery they'll be chatting yours next
Tried to get some paint today to finish the bathroom (finally) but had to order it in as 'no thanks I have a few patches of woodwork and a strip of skirting to do, I really don't need 2.5l for £50' :eek:Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16
