Good evening. I have just got back from meeting Adoreholiday for a belated birthday carvery lunch :j:j:j Had a great if short time, although AH did get a bit upset about the small amount of beef she got, so complained and got some more
:D We used a 20% off voucher that they are pushing for January, but think that they have gone downhill with the food. I have been to two different toby carverys this month and both were not as good as they used to be. The veg is now frozen veg (was told when complained at my local one that the cauliflower was all watery, was it frozen and they admitted it was). I am sure they used to serve fresh veg
Guess they gotta make some money somehow if doing cheaper meals, but would prefer not to have the discount voucher and have fresh veg and a bit more meat.
Hope everyone is ok, just gonna catch up. Cold and wet/damp here tonight, never mind soon be summer :cool:Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

I was surprised at our store too, thought they'd get some more stock delivered but didn't seem that way. So glad I was there at opening time else I wouldn't have got the sanctuary bits I wanted (for gifts). Soap and Glory set may now be going to a raffle, someone who is a big part of one of the close sports communities I'm part of was in a serious car accident at the start of the month and is in a coma. A planned workshop she was going to be part of running is still going to go ahead with all fees going to a charity of her choice, there's also talk of a raffle so I may donate that to it.
How is your friend doing? I learn last year that life can be very short and you never know what is around the corner unfortunatelyI hope your friend makes a good recovery.

Thanks Aesop and AH. My son;s foot is looking a lot better now. He still has to see the District Nurse twice a week for dressings but it is starting to heal now.
Hope everyone is well.

Your sons foot has been poorly for a long time now, bet your both fed up about it. I hope it gets better soon, hopefully all the cheap stuff your finding in Tesco is cheering him up:D

Latest news is that they have reduced her sedation some more, she's breathing a little on her own and making some slight movements. So positive little steps. Thanks for asking x xFeb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Great news Kerri re friend as you say small steps but at least in the right direction0 -
Good afternoon everyone,
Kerry - great news about your friend, hope she continues to make improvement and wakes up soon.
Blue - is your birthday officially over now. lol.
Great news - for the first time in ages my son has been able to put both shoes on. He only has a small dressing and he can fit his foot in his shoe. Good job as its pouring down here. Really windy as well. Horrible wintry weather.

Thanks CW, update is that she's been opening her eyes a little but is still very tired and sleepy. Anything positive is good news though and I'm sure all the positive wishes are helping her too.
Great news about DS, been a long haul for him too so getting both shoes on must feel great for him.
Popped out shopping earlier, took some boots back I'd got in the sale, then made the mistake of popping into Primarmi....one dress, one snood and a top later......:o
Wind really getting up here and totally clouded over, was lovely earlier too. Still, at least I don't feel guilty for not having ventured into the garden yet this yearFeb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

I biked up to the allotment yesterday and spent over 2 hours spreading manure onto my raised beds. Get in that garden!
Biked to Asda in the dark earlier, got some reduced bread and a few other bits like milk. Very windy but at least the rain had stopped. Don't like using the car if I don't have to, good exercise and saves fuel tooIf at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat0
