It is now 10 weeks since they received my completed form along with a cover letter, I have heard nothing since. No letter, and on the 3 occasions I have phoned them all they have said is that it's with the correct dept and it hasn't been looked at yet....Are they always this slow? Or are they taking the mick? As this is a premium not a stand alone claim surely this should have been done by now? Will be phoning them again in the morning and see if they fob me off again...

Sadly for many depts a 10wk + wait is not unusual for change of circumstances.
They are not "slow", it will be in a pile with 1000s of other bits of work that are being looked at in date order.0 -
In the last thread you said - they said they had you down as cohabiting- it is not unusual for them to have incorrect marital status but the award is set up for a single person.
i.e. marital status might say cohabiting
Payment award will say £71.70, £28.45, £15.15
total £115.30 per week. This payment amount would be almost impossible if you were actually cohabiting, it's just that whoever updated the award amount did not bother to change your marital status.
So what I would have said in reply to that comment would have been...
"Why does it say that when you are paying at a single person rate?"
It can take a long time but 10 weeks is taking the !!!!. Phone again and ask for a callback. What is your latest update?0
