Good value Decking Stain/Paint?
Comments

Our local B&M store sells fence stain so maybe they might stock it.
If I was looking I'd look in B&M and Wilkinsons in town, then google Homebase and B&Q. They are the options I would have to find who is the cheapest in my area.
It all depends on which of these shops (if any), you have near to you.0 -
I would use decking oil fence paint is designed for fences etc.
I have used clear decking oil every other year for last 8 years (jet wash first) and the decking still looks great.0 -
Thanks
I tried B&M but the colour i got called Red Cedar showed on the tub it was a dark brown/red colour.. But on wood turned out to be actually properly Red. Only 2.99 though.0 -
Okay, so maybe with this, cheapest isn't the way to go.
Maybe have a look on the internet to see if you can find reviews.0 -
Just did my decking with No Nonsense decking oil purchased from Screwfix two days ago. I bought the Oak coloured oil as I wanted to darken the colour of my decking.
Very good quality stain/oil (you can also get a clear version). I used a soft broom, dipping it into a large bowl of oil. The oil is very runny so will spatter a lot.
Coverage is truly awesome. I'm really happy with the results.Everyone is entitled to my opinion!0
