i recently ordered a couple of things a tablet and a night dress and set up a direct debit for 10.00 per month i have made 3 payments my available credit has shot up to 950 pounds my point is this could be temptation to vunerable people ,i have no intension of buying anything else,but does anyone in these companies credit check?

Yes, they do credit checks, however that will not show whether someone is 'vulnerable' (which can mean many different things). It really is up to individuals to ensure they do not overspend, and if they cannot do this, to seek medical help.0

It's a similar scenario to the Universal Credit, and the fact that people will use the money for other things than paying their housing rent.
