Family Fund

Just a quick question,

If family fund award a grant for say £500 of Argos vouchers do the argos vouchers need to be spend on the items requested?

We have asked for a kids bed and mattress, Could the rest of the money be spend on other items such as a trampoline for the child?

you would have to clear it with them first, our last award was for a bed and freezer both were reduced when we went to order them so i asked if i could put the balance towards something else , they said it was ok.

Why not just buy what you need and put the left over back in the kitty for someone else to benefit from.
    Be Alert..........Britain needs lerts.
  • Hi Atlantis187,
You do need to use the Argos voucher provided to buy the items outlined in your grant award letter. If you have money left on the voucher after purchasing those items, then yes, you can purchase something else that will be of benefit to your child.

If you no longer need the items you originally requested or want to change to something else, please contact our team directly, you can find contact details on our website familyfund.org.uk.
    Thanks

It would seem the fairest thing to do, although I would hope they would not award anywhere near £500 for a child's bed anyway :o
