Nobody else has jumped in so here's my thoughts.

I suggest you turn off everything which connects wirelessly to your broadband router (I'm only aware of 2 tablets, laptop, printer from other thread but anything else such as mobile phone). Check what lights are lit on your router then power off the router for a couple of minutes.

Power the router back on and wait for all the lights you checked before to come back on. Power up the printer and then once that's ready, power up the laptop, unless you get some error straightaway from the printer.

Assuming no error, try and print something and post back what happens.

If you get the same error post the make and model of your router.

Also give some idea of how close the printer is to the router.

Hi there well after most of Sunday and on and off Monday at 8.30 pm I finally got it working again. I had to change to another channel on my BT router. A shop wanted £50 for an hours labour to do it but I could have bought a new printer for that. I realised eventually that it wasn t the printer that was faulty as everything came up as a pass. If only I d have realised sooner it could all have been done in 5 minutes and not hours and hours lol. So thank you onsey for your assistance
