Credit Reference Agencies (CRA's)

Hello,
So following the information I looked at Experian - wow £2 statutory / £14.99 membership. I called as my previous login seemed not to work.
You can actually look at the £2 on-line however typical - add '/stat' to their website address (make money out of the public without offering anything at all) it takes 5 days or you can have it posted (the same length of time). For the £14.99 a month (free for the 1st 30 days) you get the results instantly. Now come on, the £2 report is a snapshot of the on-line £14.99 report without the silly extras they offer so why the delay? I guess my original comment is 100% valid.
We should all remember that these CRA's are not legally controlled entities and can basically do what they like as their actual owners live off the financial sector to pay their way. I can for example recall that I contacted the ICO (who are so slow it's a joke!) to 'order' them to remove 'statute barred' searches from what can only be called 'dodgy' debt collection agencies - they would simply NOT listen to me although they recognised these were like 10 year old (now) 'barred' debts - the said 'searches' would vanish after 1 year and it took the ICO 9 months to do the work! ALWAYS remember that CRA's work for the people that give you cash and services including Debt Collection Agencies (DCA's) and NOT you!
Michael
NOTE: Martin Lewis I doubt you ever will see this post however maybe a good investigation would be this subject - make them quiver in the way they treat people generally and hey, they NEVER EVER will offer you the slightest discount or anything else no matter how persistent you might be. They are a shame on the financial sector to say the least and more akin to 'loan sharks' than anything else!
