I am really thinking about updating my old desk top and getting a laptop. The only thing that I am having trouble with is we use the PC monitor to watch DVD’s on as we do not have and do not want a TV. Can you plug the Laptop into a normal large computer monitor???
I also have an external hard drive with all my photo’s and music on, so that is OK to stay as well isenit.

yes, laptops have a connector for a standard screen, some have a combination of keys to hit to swap
you can use the existing ext hard drive with itEx forum ambassador

Make sure the laptop has a vga out port on the side and you will be set to go. You may also need a set of external speakers as not all laptops have good speakers built into them.0
