Odeon off peak and premier club card

I want to see man of steel last week and I joined up to the club card specifically so I could start saving points and to get 10% off.
upon going to the ticket desk and presenting my card , I mentioned the 10% off and the cashier told me the 10% has already been taken off.
a bit confused, I accepted his word, although reluctantly, and went to enjoy the film.
I couldn't help but feel I had been mis-sold the card. I was under teh impression the off peak rate was the standard price for off peak times.
sure, the club card states it cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer...
I thought maybe because they call off-peak 'super saver' then they class it as a special offer.
I just looked at my receipt however and there is no indication of special offer or money off. it is standard price.
I feel like I've been cheated a little. surely the 10% and 25% on Mondays, should apply to the standard price that you pay as a person walking in off the street. The off peak rate... that can't be classed as a special offer, right? because there is no option to pay more than that before 5pm.
Prior to getting the club card I decided the cinema was too expensive but I figures with the saving s the card provides, I can justify going to the cinema. I have actually ended up paying more if you consider the cost of joining the premier club. So I've been pretty much screwed.

Does anyone have a viewpoint on this or could offer some clarity?
