TCP parking ticket help!

Hi fellow MSE'ers, i've been a long time reader of this site but never posted until now!

Basically I received my first ever parking ticket today from TCP and was looking for advise on how tot proceed.

I was visiting a clients office building in Dundee (Scotland) and appon arrival the client gave me one of their permits to park my car in the parking spaces outside the building (multi-use office facility). It's quite a large car park and they have a few spaces for them, however seemingly i parked in one of the bays outwith their allocated bays and got a ticket taped to my windscreen. It states that the fine is £70 (reduced to £40 if payed within 14days) and the reason is "parking in wrong bay". It states on their signs that if no payment is made then they will contact the DVLA for my information.

Is this correct? Should i pay?
