could someone please explain to me why liking and sharing is against fb rules. i was banned for 30 days and had no idea why, and if its against the rules why are the companies that post the comps allowed to do so but people who enter them get a ban. very confusing

This competition is via an app so not against FB rules. I don't know why FB penalises the entrants & not the promoters, it does seem unfair.

I suspect it's because Facebook is a money-making entity but a like&share comp doesn't bring in any cash for them. They want companies to pay to run promotions instead.

As to why they penalise the compers instead of the companies running the comps, I suspect it's the same answer. They don't want to drive the companies off Facebook because they see the companies as a source of cash. Us punters however, they can do what they like to because the worst we're likely to do is lave - Facebook don't lose any money because we don't pay them any.

It is unfair and I hate it too, but nobody says we have to use their free service.
