Parking Eye fine

I have received a PCN from Parking Eye stating that I have to pay £100 for waiting to pick up a friend from the Radisson hotel at Stansted. I asked the concierge if there was any fee for waiting and he told me no. I was going to call Parking Eye to complain but now having read all the threads about this company I am unsure what to do. The date of the alleged offence was the 27/06. If I pay within 14 days it reduces to £60. The paperwork all looks very official.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

I hope your user name is not your real name.
The paperwork is probably offical Parking Eye paperwork but that gives it no more validity that a scribbled note from a school exercise book.
I'm sure more detailed and knowledgeable advice will come alons shortly so at the moment sit tight and don't think about paying abnything.0 -

1. COMPLAIN with an assertive, businesslike phone call to the Hotel Manager and tell them what the concierge said and specifically and clearly say that you will be posting a report on TripAdvisor based on their reply to this specific complaint about their agent Parking Eye. Say you are 'certain' the Hotel will simply cancel it under the circumstances (do not 'appeal' nor make excuses, nor agree to take it up with PE yourself - this is a complaint and it is up to the Hotel Manager to sort it). Mention TripAdvisor by name then go quiet and let the Manager squirm until he agrees to cancel this con.
2. If the Hotel are useless then post that bad TripAdvisor report.
3. Send a short challenge to Parking Eye which you will see posted about on every other thread here. Read up on other threads, learn about POPLA and how to get this cancelled on appeal. It won't be cancelled by PE abut should be by the Hotel Manager, or later at POPLA if you take our advice on how to word that stage of appeal.

- It is not an offence!
- You will not be paying 60p let alone £60!
- The paperwork DOES NOT look official at all, read about this scam on other threads and take off those rose-coloured spectacles.
Blame the Hotel first and get the scam cancelled.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
