Butlins Minehead

Hi

I have just upgraded our Butlins holiday at Minehead to a silver bungalow and cancelled the entertainment passes.

Please has anyone stayed in one of these and are they ok? Also is there parking nearby as one of the party has a disabled badge?

We cancelled the passes as we are not going to use the swimming or see the shows but can anyone tell me what else is excluded please?

Thanks :)

Hi, we have stayed in a silver bungalow last year and it was lovely. They are on the far left of the site and are in rows. There are I think 2 disabled spaces at both ends of each block. We have also cancelled passes and hope to use all the facilities :) when are you going? xx

We have only just returned from there. We made the mistake of upgrading to Gold, where disabled parking is none existent, since they opened the gold residents car park to day visitors.

From what I can gather, Silver is much better than Gold, unless your crying out for a dishwasher. There is a small market\arcade store by the beach just outside camp, beware of them as they try to short change the tourists. Take note they have their own television service, other than their own butlins channel, you will only get 5 channels to choose from.

The camp itself is fully accommodating with plenty to do, your door key is your pass and the only limitation is the nightclub, all else is at your disposal. ;)

    Have a fantastic holiday OP.

Thanks a lot, feeling a bit better about it now.

We really don't care too much about the shows as it seems to be a free for all from what I have read. We visited Dunster last time in Minehead, several years ago now when our kids were young, and liked it there.

Any recommendations for places to eat, visit etc appreciated :)

No, we booked 7 days in Silver and regrettably upgraded to Gold - although we are going back on a Sun break at the end of the Month, upgraded to a Silver.

Don't buy the passes as your chalet key card is your pass that will get you into pretty much everything.
