Prob a stupid question,I have seen a jacket on preloved for £30 but seller doesnt take paypal. He seems ok but Iam unsure,am I right to walk away even though i would love it. Its too far to collect. Thankyou

I don't take Paypal as my account has been hacked into several times. Paypal were useless so stopped using them. Probably one of the reasons I don't use e-bay much. You just have to do what you think is best. Can't you send them a cheque, you might have to wait a little longer for them to check it has gone through.
The people I have bought from have never minded.

If you don't pay by paypal then there's not much you can do if the item never arrives, or turns up damaged/not as described etc

Up to you if you think it's a risk worth taking. Personally I would walk away, a genuine seller should be happy to offer buyer protection.

If their issue is they don't want to pay fees then you can always offer to pay a little more on top if you really liked the item.

Thanks prob have to leave it,seller just says i dont take paypal. It would need to be bank transfer and Iam aware I wont have any protection should it not arrive.

Sites such as pre-loved are really for face to face, cash transactions, so unless you're close enough to collect, I wouldn't bother.

I'm also in the 'walk away unless you can collect' camp. I would never pay using an unsafe payment method unless I personally knew the seller.
