If I have MS Word running and try to Hibernate my PC I get a message saying "Widows cannot go into standby because Microsoft Office Documents or components are being accessed from the network. You must close etc".
Apart from the irritation of having to close MS programs before I can Hibernate and the fact that it is preventing auto shut down when I leave my computer running I do not want my computer to be accessed from the network.
Does anyone know how to prevent MS Word XP from doing this.

Further Technical details.
OS Windows XP sp3
I am not connected to a local network
I am connected to the internet via a modem
I have full anti virus and firewall by F-Secue
Firefox browser
MS Office XP Pro is the culprit.
My local area connection icon says a network cable is unplugged it always has I don't have one.
The problem does not occur if I open Excell and not word
The problem does occur when I open Word (with a blank document - automatic on opening) even before I open any other documents.
Once I open Word then I have to close all MS Office applications before I can Hibernate. ie If I have Excell running I can Hibernate but If I Open Word then close it then I cant Hibernate till I close Excell as well.

Many Thanks

I have heard of this happening with F-secure. Try disabling or uninstalling it and see if this fixes it..

You say you're not connected to a network, but that you don't want your computer 'to be accessed from the network' .... ?

Yes. That's because I am confused by the terminology. The message says "the network" - I don't know what that actually means, I don't have a "local network". So the only two possibilities are the message is wrong or the network referred to in the message is the internet network which I don't want to gain access.
