Wedding Money Woes

Goonarmy, you absolute Goon.
If the OP doesn't have the money now, they never will.Debt free as of 7.20am on 31st December 2012.
Wow. Feels great :j :beer:0 -
How does it prover your piont.
Rabbit_burrow had the wedding they wanted, but didn't end up in debt for the next 5 years doing it.
I know which position I'd rather be in.
Bcause hes (aussption there) point is it could be done cheaper. Yep it can. Bu then rabbit put a price on their wedding of 1.5k. It could have been done for less. Bu thy didnt want that and thats the important thing. If its not what you want is it worth doing? My wedding was expensive. I would have paid ten times what i did for the value it delivered.0 -
Goon, if I'd had my 'dream' wedding, I would had a Vera Wang wedding dress, turned up in a horse drawn Cinderella coach, with Cristal pouring down mountains of champagne flutes, setting doves free, hand feeding each other with fine chocolates, a 5 tier choccywoccydoodah cake etc etc.
However, I got real, decided what was important and chose to use my money more wisely.
I could have scaled down to £1k if I had needed to. Which is the point entirely. The OP cannot afford the wedding they have planned, so they can scale down or postpone.0 -
P.S. I'm a SHE not a HE0

Cancel the wedding and elope !
Two flight tickets to Vegas £600 x2 in August or Sept
Ceremony in a NICE wedding chapel £300 including flowers, limo and photos
Week's hotel £400 (lots of offers around atm)
£1300 for wedding and honeymoon.
Otherwise - what is left to be paid -as in what services ? What have you paid so far ? If you postponed -which services would allow you to transfer your deposits and which wouldn't ? Can you see areas you could cutback -if cutting back is unthinkable then postponing seems a better option than having a wedding that has a lasting memory of the financial strain it put on your early months/years of marriage.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -
Sounds like a perfect marriage - £4k in debt and bad credit. Lovely!0

Who said that? Mony will b tight for a couple of months whilst they have to pay everything. The 4k wont be paid back. Unless the op is earning real good money. Planned any weddings lately? No? Then maybe your not in a position to help or even comment.
You said it will be "fine" after a couple of paydays, implying that this extra debt would no longer be an issue.
As to your contention that I can't help if I've not planned any weddings recently, that's simply asinine.
Can I ask, please, as a matter of politeness, that you try and write in standard English? It's very hard to understand what point you are trying to get across otherwise.0 -
