Just got of the phone to tesco moaning about getting the money off coupons etc too late (they always are) the first £3 off ended 3 Jun its the 8th today the reason/ excuse is that the coupons are sent out in waves so if you are last then tough. You do not have to be clever to solve this problem just send out the coupons earlier or change the date to a more suitable date one less likely to be missed. I smell a little money saving scam.

  • BOGOF's are great as long as the 1you pay for isn't more than twice as much as you could buy something comparable for elsewhere. Surprising how often the price of buying one and getting one free is actually pretty much the same as buying two of another brand. Of course it is a pain to cross check prices as the BOGOF's are often not next to comparable items, and are near store entrance. Sorry to state the bleading obvious but so many of us fall for it. Yes I know there are genuine savings to be made, but not always.

All this Heathen talk is making me want to run into the arms of the nearest Tesco and spend spend spend!

I would mention this to any of the hardcore Tesco fans on here.....they'll lynch you.

Should imagine they will be way too busy shopping to bother the dissenters. Tesco are obviously very good at serving consumer need, thats why they make so much profit every year. They open long hours when high streets are shut and they make sure there are always plenty of special offers to keep drawing us in. As far as being cheaper overall, thats not as clear cut, and whether having a few big players is a good thing is another question.

that's my main reason for going - at 10pm after a hellish day at work, nowhere else is open! (well, asda, sainsbury's, morrisons etc are too, but they won't give me clubcard vouchers!!)

  • I'm cheesed off with Tesco, bought some Car Breakdown Insurance through them on the promise I'd receive 500 points and still not received them months after the event. Tesco say it's up to Green Flag, when I ring Green Flag they tell me that Tesco have to authorise so I'm going round in circles with it. Suppose I'll have to spend 10 minutes sending a letter off to Tesco showing proof of purchase etc etc.and hope they get round to giving me what was promised. Otherwise they can stick their clubcard where the * * * doesn't * * * * *.
