Do you have any pictures of the damage?
What kind of car is it?
Depending how deep the scratches are and what type of paintwork the car has would depend on how to repair.
I'd report it to the police. Even thought they can't do anything instantly to help, it means you're reporting crime that happened in your area and if it's happened before to anyone else in the area they'll take more interest.

I would say technically the car is a write off as it would cost more to repair than its worth.
However, you're best bet is to price around some local bodyshops and see what they come back with.0 -
will the insurance company pay for a repair or anything like that
its is first year insurance so dont really wanna make a claim if its going to cause the insurance to rise even more, cant belive it gutted how people can do that and get away with it and feel sorry for people with exspensive cars that this happens to0 -
2nd Hand Door and Bonnet with matching paint codes probably the cheapest options... providing the damage is only on the 2 Panels like you say?0

on a 10 year old car I'd be inclined to get a smart repair man to look too, or if you fancy DIY, get a rattle can from your local paint mix shop, fill the scratches in using a small brush, leave it to harden for a couple of weeks and then polish.
Insurance will pay but you'll suffer premium wise for the next 5 years plus get no NCB for this year0 -
thanks flying high0

There was a similar thing happened recently in a car park, the Police (surprisingly) sent out officers to look for finger prints. I'd let them know before you start messing with it.....“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”
