They can employ (or not) anyone this wish to, as long as the decision is not made for discriminatory reasons. Is it still the same management/ HR staff at the store?0

I shouldn't think it would make the slightest bit of difference. They have that many people coming and going that unless you danced naked through the shop or nicked all the takings, you'll be well off the radar by now.
And how will they know it's your daughter, anyway? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
They can refuse to hire anyone for any reason other than those prohibited by law, race, gender, sexuality, religion, disability etc.
So yes they could. They are very unlikely to, even more unlikely to connect you to each other or even still have your record. Absenteeism is a penny crime.0 -
If they've given her an interview then she's got a shot at a job. Whether she gets it or not is more likely to be down to how she performs at interview and how she stacks up against other candidates than about what you did six years ago.
TBH you're not that important to them and they probably don't remember you. It sounds a bit like you're trying to build a drama up where none exists.Common sense?...There's nothing common about sense!0 -
No drama needed in my life thank you .
Thanks to the others for your advice.
Wouldn't want my daughter to go for an interview and be successful only to be refused a position because of a stupid mistake on my part.
I was worried because we obviously share the same address and it may still be on record ?0 -
If they were going to blacklist her she'd have been blown out at the shortlisting stage. No-one in HR has the time or the inclination to check records of old employees looking for any correlations. And people do move house - addresses from 6 years ago mean nothing. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Sainsbury's blacklist employees who've been dismissed/fired to prevent re- employment with the company. They blacklist your N.I number; details of which are flagged up later on during the application process.

Obviously OP's DAUGHTER would not have the same NI number, would she??..

Don't assume stupidity, ofcourse they won't share the same N.I number. I am merely adding what i know about the company in question.0

They will not have a clue as they will have completely forgotton about you.
Even if they did not it makes no difference they are employing her not you0
