Nice pub/restaurant close to Manchester airport

As per the title....I would appreciate any recommendations please....collecting someone from Manchester airport on Wednesday and rather than drive home in rush hour wish to have a nice pub/restaurant meal prior to going home....thanks in advance....:beer:

Hi, depends how much time you have and in what direction you are going after rush hour, but on a nice evening I would head into didsbury,plenty of lovely restaurants (chains and independents, all sorts from gastro pubs to Thai .0
