Alarm system recommendations?

I'm looking at putting in a monitored alarm system and I have site visits from the big players (Chubb, ADT, Secom etc) as well as a few local companies. Are there any recommendations for or against any particular supplier? If so, why?

With the bigger companies, you are effectively renting the equipment and if you decide to cancel after the contract period, they can take the equipment out.
Usually with a local NACOSS registered company that will also use an ARC (Alarm Receiving Centre), you pay and keep the equipment even after the monitoring contract has ended. You can even move the monitoring to another company.
You will most likely be paying a lot more with the big companies for what is perhaps a lower specification system.If my post hasn't helped you, then don't click the 'Thanks' button!
