If i'm buying a car, I'll avoid cars that have been "tarted up", I want to see an original car, not a polished turd.

Unfortunately there are still a lot of places that treat their cars like this. The only thing you can do is look at other random cars on the forecourt to make sure this one hasn't had overly special attention. Much better to have a dry, clean engine bay than one that has all traces of leaks removed.

If it has the Renault diesel engine, good luck, keep a tow rope in the boot.
    Be happy...;)

If this is the Quasi 1.5 DCI, I would recommend some google searching on that engine.
Air conditioning pump failure seizing + destroying engine and random stalling at motorway speed losing assisted brakes and power steering, requiring a key out reset to the immobiliser to re-start the engine.
All on Google, in very large numbers.
Some are great, some are absolute dogs, thats Renaults, which is what they are with a different badge.
    Be happy...;)

You can say the same about most cars and you would never buy anything if you by what you read all the time. It's 3 years old and I have done quite a bit of recent. I know about the particulate filter problem and cambelt recall. Most of the other stuff is on older models.
