Firstly it's not a fine - it's a scam from an immoral private parking company.

Did you get the "ticket" on your windscreen or in the post ?
Are you the registered keeper ?
    Were you the driver ?
Was it in England or Wales ?
  • got a ticket in the post, yes registered keeper, and yes i was driving..in england.

OK - fairly straight forward then but first another two questions :

    1. Did the notice to keeper ( i.e. the letter you got in the post ) arrive more than 14 days after the alleged infringement ?

    2. What amount are they asking for and what is the non-discounted amount they expect - i.e. if you pay within 14 days it is £x but if not it will be £y ?

And when did you receive the letter?
  • I have recieved one of these "contractual parking charge notice" letters with red banner and photo's of my car on it?

Was really concerned however after reading through these threads advising just to ignore it?

confused what i should do? I wouldnt mind but the only time i ever use my car is to get some shopping and with 3 kids it would take me over 2 hrs in most cases! My worry is i didnt even see any notices of charges for parking and no ticket machines to buy a ticket?

The phot just shows my car but no clear picture who was driving and no picture of the supposide offence of the actual contravening offence "parked car"?

What shall i do next? should i write to them to appeal?....need to advice please!

No thread from the last 3-6 months or so suggests ignoring. What are you reading? Try some recent threads.
