DRO or bankruptcy options?
My husband owes approx £7000
I owe approx £11000
I work and earn circa £35000(started 11 months ago after uni for 6 years)
My husband does not work and if he ever does will only be low paid job(no qualifications prev worked in call centre supermarkets warehouses etc)
I am paying off debts
Would he be eligable to apply for DRO(no assets no individual income) all income is from me
If not what about bankruptcy(would never need to use any income for him if applyin for mortage etc as mine will continue to rise
I just think that if we didnt have his debts we could concentrate on mine and have them paid off sooner
Any advice?
THanks

I don't see why not (DRO option).
He doesn't own a car valued at over £1000?

Thanks fatbelly
Nope the only thing he owns is a tv which is less than £300!
I just was not sure whether they would take my income into account as we are married
We have separate bank accounts
My wages pay for everything
The only income into his bank is the £80 a month child benefit0 -
Hi,
The £50 pm surplus has to come from the applicants spare income - if he doesn't have any income he can't have any surplus.
I would submit in his application nil income - nil outgoings - nil surplus.
