Is it really that obvious ? ;)

By the way - they had to replace ( not just alter ) nearly 30 signs !!!! :D

Would love to see their accounts to see how much companies like this make through this system and how much they pay out for signs and acquiring land and contracts.

The last letter was on 25th June, saying that if I pay before 9th July it'll only be half price.

I was just thinking that the whole register with the cinema thing is something I hadn't seen before. They said they just let the parking company know people who have stayed longer than the allotted time

I suspect this is a new addition at the cinema as they have had complaints. Did you never complain...yet?!

G24 have never done court and the CCS collect letter chain leads nowhere. I have a collection of CCS Collect letters myself. Ignore everything except in the unheard of event of G24 issuing a small claim (in which case you would defend it).

If you want to be proactive you could write a letter to whoever owns the complex, saying you have noticed that they have introduced a new system to stop people being scammed but you have an old fake PCN from before. Enclose the copies of your cinema tickets and say that you need them to call their dogs off.

Say that it's not your fault that when you parked that day, months ago, the cinema had not sorted out a system to protect their customers from this unwarranted harassment - and you expect the fake PCN to be cancelled. Say that you are an avid forum poster and on facebook and will update your 'blog' about this with their response.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Just a quick update. I have now dropped the cinema a line by email telling them that their "Free" car park ended up with these letters and that as the cinema has a register of who has parked for over the allotted times, would they please get in touch with their contact there and call them off for me.

    Hopefully they will do this.

I'll just sign the register from now on...
  • Hi, This is all new to me but i am also a victim of one of these letters from this company. i was horrified when i got this through the post for £60 charge. They threaten to take it to collections. They also quote the Protection of Freedom Act 2012.

legally can anyone tell me do i have to pay this? i am a little disturbed that they have photos of my car and my registered details from DVLA. i am a mum of three lttle children i dont want strangers knocking at my door making threats for money if i do not pay?

    Anyone?
