knitted teddy, knitting and hand made cards

Was it Teddies for Tragedies? I think that's the one I'd heard of once. If not, a google for 'knitting teddy charity' pulls up quite a few more.
As for the cards, is it worth going round your local charity shops and asking if they'd take home made cards? Some already have links with suppliers, but others might be happy to take them.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
What a great site - I've signed up, and am also raising money for orphanages in Africa through my company
Thanks

Quite a few charity shops sell handmade cards, last year Marie Curie Cancer Care had a big promotion where you could collect their printed cellophane card bags/envelopes to put your own cards in and bring them back.
I've also seen them in Help the Aged, various hospice shops and my local MacMillan.
The knitted things may be suitable for the Christmas shoebox appeals, also special care baby units in maternity hospitals like tiny hats, bootees, cardigans etc.A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.
Nothing tastes as good as being slim feels.
