Which Laptop to buy?

Ok, I now have a headache from constantly looking at different laptop specs, reviews etc and am no further forward!!
So, I need to buy a laptop and it needs to be from Amazon (have too much gift credit on there!).
Laptop will be used for internet browsing, downloading music/films and needs to have a DVD R/RW. It won't be used for gaming at all (ok, maybe the odd game of freecell!) and I really don't care about graphics or amazing sound features.
Budget of around £300 and have been considering these:
ACER ASPIRE V3-571
ACER ASPIRE E1
I can't see much difference between the 2 apart from an extra 250gb of hard drive (which to be honest I wouldn't really need - although might do just because it's there!) and the USB 3.0 in the V3-571.
From the limited reviews, the V3 looks like a good option but am I missing any other better buys out there?
HELP!

All the (4) reviews for the V3-571 seem to be about an i5 with 8GB although the description at the top says i3 with 4GB. I wonder what you actually get. Strange.
Btw I don't think it says it has an optical drive. Also "Nonstandard battery" I think means built in. Never had one but could be expensive to replace if there's a problem with it outside of warranty.0 -
