Without wishing to be blunt, killing someone on a plane isn't really a security issue - provided it's not one of the pilots! The security checks in place are designed to stop an undesirable from getting into the cockpit (ala 9/11) or constructing a device that could tear a hole in the side of the aeroplane (ala Richard Reid - 'the shoe bomber').

Any other incidents onboard would simply result in a welcome party of totally unsympathetic policemen to ensure the perpetrator serves an appropriate punishment. All cabin crew are aware that a terrorist may attempt to use violence against them or the passengers in order to bribe their way into the cockpit - sadly nowadays such persons are deemed expendible in the interests of the other 300 people onboard and the 5000 people working in skyscrapers down below.

I was allowed to take juice on the flight last September for my son so long as one of us drank it in front of the officers.

Dispensations do exist for child fluids, though normally limited to baby milk.
