Help with Sunday lunch!

I have a 2.5kg joint of topside beef, which was vacuum packed and is already cooked. (came in a hamper!)

The inlaws are coming to lunch, and I intend to serve it, but was thinking I would re-heat it.

There are NO cooking instructions (and it certainly looks cooked rather than raw meat), so I'm somewhat baffled as to what to do with it!

Any suggestions?!?

We're definitely having roast potatoes, and panfried leeks with cheese sauce, but am just clueless about this beef!

  • I'd make up some gravy, then slice the meat up and put it in a casserole dish, bung the gravy over the top. Cover in tin foil and put in the oven to warm though x

    Seconded, but i'd add some halved onions too to cook through with the gravy on a low heat.

    Have thrown some onions in with the roast veg, then instead of gravy, am going to serve it with a cheese and leek sauce!
