    I'm getting Infinity tomorrow. Mac set up and thick walls. I have no idea what a power line adapter is, but looks like I'll have to find out!
    Btw do BT throw a wobbly if you don't use their modem and use an Apple Air Port instead as have heard that may work better on wifi signal?

    Make sure you test the signal when the Engineer is there using your own machine!

    They usually have their own Laptop to do the tests and it's generally set up to get the best reception. So if you can test it when he's there he can usually help you get the best location for the BT box and if you're nice and not too pushy they usually can help set up things like Air Ports. ^_~

    Update on this - more help needed please!

    I've given up on BT and gone for powerline adapters wired to the router at one end and to a mac at the other. The problem is that the Mac is not using the wired connection but is still looking to connect wirelessly.

    What do I need to do to get this to work? I want to keep the wireless in operation for an ipad.
