I have just had to reinstall windows xp after a major crash which wiped out the C partition. Running chkdsk/f allowed me to reinstall and I added SP2l. I have reinstalled my programs and the wireless BB is working ok. My problem is that the internet randomly cuts out when left for a period of time(one has to go to work you know-shame). The wireless symbol reports that the connection is excellent. In internet options the 'never dial the internet' bit is greyed out. Have you any ideas how to prevent the disconnection.
ps I have to restart to get the connection back.
Peter.

You have to restart what? PC? Wireless router? Also, what provider do you use?0

I have not tried restarting the wireless router, will try that next time. I'm on Metronet ! meg Adsl. I've disconnected their proxy service just in case. This has only happened since crash only affects the net connection.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

I meant to ask you what it is you had to restart, as you specified in your first post.0
