    Hi,
    I NEED HELP:)
I would like to ask regarding the parking charge notice I received from Premier Park. I'm a new driver and just bought a car. I parked it infront of our garage but apparently the agency didn't give us the key. I thought it's okey to park in there because I didn't do any obstraction to other vehicles but I received this parking charge notice. I wrote to them but was been refused. I re appealed to them and they gave me popla reference number to appeal to popla. The parking charge is £100 but if I will pay it now it will be £60. Accordingly I will loose the discounted amount if I insist to appeal to popla and loose my case. I need an advice what is the best thing I should do. Your help is very much appreciated. Thanks!

First thing read my signature below. Once you've done as advised there we will help you to work up your POPLA appeal to give the best opportunity to avoid any charge.

But you've got to do a good bit of reading to get your head around this stuff because there's not the resources here to do it all for you.

So if you're up for the challenge - do start a new thread of your own please.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

@kirkbyinfurnesslad - really? I am shocked! if I just add all the missing info bits am I all set to send this in to POPLA? The fact of the matter is that this is all ok and the POPLA assessor won't find any flaws with it - hopefully none that will make it enough to lose the appeal!

I will be sending this in the post as well as via e-mail on the POPLA website. I have really clear close up photo's of the signage now. I mention that the signage recently changed. I took this from another post on this forum as a guy got a ticket about a day or so after or before I got this (so I am assuming the same signage point applies to me) I did try and find a date to when the new signage and charges were updated at the car park but no luck!

Apologies if I sound like I am repeating myself, obviously this is new to me and your knowledge is a million times better than mine when it comes to this as you have experience in these dealings!

if I am good to go without the need for further amendments then I will send tomorrow all being well that is!

    thanks again

Good to go I say as well. Nice job and nowt wrong with plagiarising other winning POPLA appeals! :T
Make sure that the 10 digit code is on the top of every page and if you post it, attach a POPLA form on the front with this whole appeal stapled securely to it.

And if you submit it online, attach it as a PDF as it will be too long for the restricted word-count POPLA appeal box. An error code will be generated or the appeal will be chopped in half without you knowing.

  • heads up guys,

I just want to say that....

    I WON!!!!!!!!

I just want to thank everyone that helped me, I didn't think this nightmare would end on a positive note but it has and I am grateful for all the advice given. Being a total newbie I was literally at a loss as to what to do. I nearly gave in and paid the ridiculous charge but I am very glad I stuck it out!

I will be more careful in future so I am not scammed again.

    Lesson learnt for sure.

    Thanks again guys!! :D

make sure you do everyone a big favour now and spread the word about the scum known as excel parking at the peel centre,,they got chucked out of the co-op car park in marple as basically the co-op virtually had no customers left, thanks to the scum bags who decided to ticket uncle tom cobley and all,,,well done by the way.

    Well done!

Can you add your whole assessor's decision and their name here please, and/or on the 'POPLA decisions' sticky thread:

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4488337

Others are helped every time we see a POPLA assessor's full decision on that sticky thread.
