Mould - How to make sure it gets repaired properly

Hi,
There is mould down the side of my bedroom in our rented house. It was due from a leak in the chimney - which has been fixed now.
Now, the letting agency got one of their repairman to come and get a quote to give to the landlord to remove the mould. When I was talking to him about what he was going to do, all he said was, 'we'll paint just over the wallpaper'.
I asked should the wallpaper be replaced and whether there maybe mould behind the wallpaper and he said it should be fine as the wallpaper is stuck fine to the wall, so theres no damp there.
Is this true? As I believe they should at the very least re-wallpaper the section and not just paint over the wallpaper with mould on it!
If I am right, how do I go about making sure that the room is repaired properly and mould free?
Thanks

I don't understand what interest you have in it being repaired "properly".
Surely your only interest is in the repair lasting the length of time that you expect to be in the property.
Whilst over painting may not last forever, it will probably see out you tenancy

The cause of the mould has been identified and rectified. Whether the landlord chooses to paint over the wallpaper or replace the wallpaper is their decision and not yours. They could decide to leave it as it is.
Once the wall has completely dried out the mould will die off and cease to be an issue for you or anyone else, so anything else they decide to do will be purely cosmetic.0 -
Thanks for the replies.
I apologise. I have not written it well.
What I meant is that will just painting over the mould on the wallpaper actually get rid of it?
And, is there any chance that there could still be damp/mould behind the wallpaper?0 -
If it's dried out completely then the mould spores will have died.0
