Buying a house with subsidence - advice please

Hi,
I would be grateful for some advice please. I recently viewed a house which I have been informed suffered from subsidence under the porch (not the rest of the house). Apparently the porch was built later as an add on to the house and has been underpinned. I am operating on the premise that this means that the entire house will be treated by insurers (and future buyers) as if it had subsidence.
I was just wondering how much of an issue people would see this?
Many thanks!

It will put some people off that's to be sure, as the S word brings fear to many folk. As it's just the porch though, that may not scare so many people off as if it was the main building of the house.
As somebody who bought a house a few years back that had had previous remedial work done under an insurance claim due to tree roots (I didn't get a bargain as I bought at the height of the market), I would shy away from any such property in future just for the simple fact that it does make a place harder to sell.
That said, I did sell my house last year to the 1st person who made an offer as they loved the house & were not to fazed by the fact that remedial work had been carried out. However, I didn't get the price I wanted & didn't feel it realistic to hold out for it due to the houses history. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0
