I agreed with Dimey, in that had it been one of the top comp posters who had been called rude for doing nothing wrong there would most definitely been a backlash and the offender would have been hounded out of here.
I know, I know, I know everyone is entitled to their opinion, but can anyone honestly tell me after re- reading the posts that the OP was rude, or was she responding to the previous posters remark( which in my opinion is what started it because I presume it insinuated the OP had wasted their time posting it because it wasn't worth a tweet).

If I seem like I am making a big deal of this then maybe I am.
I agree with you- all are equal, so why has no- one else defended Charcharcharcharchar?
And thanks, I get through "real" life just fine thanks.
This is not petty, this is endemic in society as a whole, and as we started tolerating such behaviour in the "real" world, the "real" world turned into and intolerrable place.

I really don't think you should have replied or started this thread because it is giving him the attention he wants even more. Comping should be fun and happy, let's not let the minority of immature people spoil it
