Hello all
I have a perfectly functioning Bush dd2497b vaccum, but I only have the body of the vacuum, so not pipes/hoses or any connections whatsoever. I am wondering what is the part called which connects the hose to the body of the hoover? on my vacuum there is a round hole which you would connect the hose to, but i do not know the name for what I am searching!
can anyone help? if so, what is the name of that part and also, would that part be universal, i.e. used by alot of vacuums?

Try espares:

Although, buying all the parts is likely to cost you around the same as what that vacuum cost new!If my post hasn't helped you, then don't click the 'Thanks' button!

You might be able to pick up the same vaccum cleaner at a carboot sale for a few pounds which you can use for spares.

very true. most hoovers have that same pipe hose. My problem is that I do not know what the name of the connector is, i.e. the connector/adapter which connects the hose to the vacuum. if I knew what that part was, Im sure I could pick up a hose/pipe at car boot like you say.
If anyone knows the name of that part, let me know!
For reference, see the pic at the following link (all im looking for is the name of the black device which connects the grey hose to the hoover. This may well be a standard, universal vacuum part, but I do not know its name, making a product search real difficult!): https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=dd2497b+bush&bav=on.2,or.r_cp.r_qf.&bvm=bv.48705608,d.d2k&biw=1093&bih=514&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hl=en&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&ei=faLYUbvQBIXaPJbWgLAG#facrc=_&imgrc=jrpXdK7WPSxLNM%3A%3BDMk0lCHkWcJBeM%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.comparestoreprices.co.uk%252Fimages%252Fbu%252Fbush-dd2497b.jpg%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.comparestoreprices.co.uk%252FBUSH-vacuum-cleaners-reviews.asp%3B250%3B300

You usually cannot buy that part separately. It comes attached to the hose.If my post hasn't helped you, then don't click the 'Thanks' button!
