Do you mean there are two identical Titles?

Are you sure one is not a freehold title and the other leasehold?

There was just one until recently but another one has appeared.

So there are two freehold Titles listed for the same address, with two seperate Title numbers?

Either a very unlikely error, in which case ring the LR helpline and ask,or, asI say, they are different Titles at the same address (ie lease/freehold)

I suppose if the Title was split (eg the owner sold part of his garden) a new Title would be registered, but usually this would be described differently ("Land at 23 Strange Street")

I don't think it will relate to a second charge or repossession.

G_M's steer seems logical but all a question of what you are searching against i.e. number, road and/or post code

Did you try the helpline or have you now resolved it in some other way?

If not and email is easier try the Contact Us online form on the website - if it is an error then it can be looked and corrected
