loads of references to luhe lockscreen via Google. That gum you like is coming back in style.0

OK It was a "." in the wrong place
Is it safe to assume that AVG has disposed of it completely ?0 -
You need to say exactly what was detected
eg:
C:\directory\folder\sub folder\filename.ext0 -
Luhe lockscreen .a0
-
I meant what file, and in what path - as above.
Lockscreen is a ransomware type detection, so if you're not experiencing those kinds of issues, and AVG detected it in a scan, rather than a realtime detection, I'd bet it was a false positive.0 -
I think (hope) - that it was a false positive
Since my PC is still running as previously (slowly) and AVG has not detected it again (it is not in the vault either)
Is there an on-line scanner that I can use to double check ?0 -

Thanks - slightly worryingly - that site doesn't work for me
I can get the pop up page with SCAN NOW button - but that brings up a page with a "no entry" symbol in the top left corner and no more .....0 -
Do you have Malwarebytes?

Update, run a quick scan.0 -
OK I have got ESET to run - it has found "a variant of Win32/Hiddenstart.A application" and it has only completed 25% of the full scan - does ESET get rid of any viruses or does it only detect them ?
I am also running malwarebytes to double check....0
