Decided to scrap sharston and have found a lovely house in edgeley, stockport.
Lets hope I dont regret it :)

I know its a bit late but am glad to see you scrapped sharston hope its a good move.
I was born in sharston and although some people will like it my advice would have been avoid, many reasons given by other posters, many manchester estates have the same problems but as wythenshawe is a massive estate probably more undesirables to call on.
I do not live there now.

    Edgeley is fine i think.

I used to go to stockport college and my bus used to pass through there. There were never any people you would try to avoid getting on the bus so i can only assume its not too bad.

I have one or two friends who live in Edgeley and I don't think it is too bad - lots better than Sharston anyway. Btw I believe one lives "on" Edgeley rather than "in" it :)

Not lived in the area for 20 years, but FIL in Edgeley, and has been for more years than I can remember, and in my opinion that is tonnes better than Sharston/Wynthenshawe.
