I got it too, can't help thinking it's a trap though and if I did manage to list that much they would insist I was a business!

    That was my thought too!

This is stupid and goes against all the security measures taught to us by ebay - ie all messages will also appear in myebay.

Ive accepted it and its still charging me - now i dont know if ive been scammed.

Cheers Ebay. If you wanted to check we were using genuine email adresses - why didnt you do it prooperly?

UPDATE:- activated again and it works. Message should still have been sent via Ebay messages.

I've got it as well on my private account, it tells me I am special,- but when you click to confirm the offer it warns you:

As a reminder, to use this offer, you need to comply with all its terms. This includes, but is not limited to, heeding the selling limits on your account (they still apply and may prevent you from fully using the offer) and meeting the minimum performance standards for selling on eBay during the duration of this offer. Visit your Seller Dashboard to confirm your account is still eligible for this offer before listing; if you have fewer than 10 detailed seller ratings, this information won't appear on your Seller Dashboard, but we'll email you if you aren't meeting these minimum performance standards

I don't sell a lot on my private account, but I do use it and usually have something listed, and I also got the message.

I've just relisted something and it has worked- no fees to pay. I'll try something from scratch later

Believe me techspec, 10 days ago they thought I was performing badly on my private account- hence all my phone calls and stuff- until they finally accepted that someone was playing games with my stars. So 'special' in fact that 10 days ago I was 1 low star short of being restricted, ebay just make this up as they go laong- I swear it.

So true - the stars are so open to abuse. And Ebays policy changes with each member of staff.

That said - now 18 months without a low one for me. Must depend whos toes you tread on.

So easy for others to target people. Thats why even partners/ friends/ family no-longer know my ebay details. An ex partner once targeted me - buying 500 items and not paying. My staff at the time were celebrating a good days sales when i returned from buying - until i pointed out what was happeninmg.

Now they can just get people to target stars and stay in stealth mode. For rival sellers - its so easy.
