Purchased faulty PC through private online sale

    This is the problem with buying privately. You took a risk by doing so, and it hasn't paid off.

    You need to PROVE the issue was there at the time of sale, and that he was definitely AWARE of the problem.

    Private sales are without warranty and are 'buyer beware', unless you can 100% prove he mis-represented you're not going to win this.

    Next time, buy from a shop with warranty. If you want any kind of warranty or support, buying privately is not for you.
