Parking on front of closed road. Specific situation.

Hi Mr. Expert Car Owners,
I have got a specific problem and any advice is welcomed.
I bought an old car 3 weeks ago. As we have only one car space at the front of our house and my neighbor is constantly using, so I couldn't park my car anywhere.
But "luckily" on the other side of the road there was a factory or warehouse in the past, what it had been demolished. The whole area and the entrance road had been enclosed with palisade fence/wall. A small part of the side road just front if us, what was the entrance of the factory car park, is still exist but blocked with this wooden palisade fence or whatever it been called.
On the main road there is a double yellow line and a restriction sign says no parking. The yellow line continuing on the closed side road and hit the palisade fence.
I hope I could explained our area well.
So many cars park there days and nights almost every day. I used this area to park my car in the last few weeks without any problem.
Yesterday I got a PCN ticket and I need some advice, as I would like to appeal against it.
My questions and points are:
Is the parking law exist on the permanently closed or private side road?
The parking restriction can continue on the side road? Other road does not mean new restrictions and new signs?
The yellow line is so worn, on the side road only one line visible.
There is no T sign on the end of the yellow line, or if it was in the past, it must be behind the fence/wall what is not visible at all.
As this fence and gate is permanent, I did not obstructed the way of any traffic. How could be this road restricted?
Is it still restricted road, if it is not a real road anymore?
Where the private road legally starts from?
How far can I park from the corner of two road?
I can provide photos as well, if it is helps.
Best Regards,

You have asked a lot of questions but it would be easier for us to see pictures, and for you to post about this on pepipoo where they have more Council PCN experts and you can post photos there (not here).
http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showforum=30
They will need you to show a photo or two of the area and a scan or photo of BOTH SIDES of the PCN please on a new pepipoo thread.
Good luck!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

This is impossible to comment on without photos.
