sorry, have searched, but can't find out - how long do cooked chickpeas last for in the fridge? i still have some left over from my marathon cooking session LAST sunday and was wondering if they're still ok to make hummous with?

We ate the last of our HM hummous today - it was made about 10 days ago with chickpeas which had been cooked from a packet of dried ones. It tasted great and we are still alive! I would try one and if it tastes OK then go ahead and use them - either make your hummous or freeze them and make it another time.0

In my half asleep state this morning I threw in some dried chickpeas with vegetables into the slow cooker. After a while I remembered that I hadn't even soaked the chickpeas.
Will they even cook and if they do will they be safe to eat? If I pick them out will the vegetables still be ok to eat even though they have cooked in the same water as the chickpeas?
I did rinse the chickpeas before I put them in the slow cooker, so they are clean
What should I do?0 -
I've never done it myself, but I had a bit of a "Google" on your behalf and came across a number of references to cooking chickpeas from dry. Suggestions were that they just take longer to cook. I would guess you're okay seeing as you've done them in a slow cooked dish, as long as you had plenty of liquid in with them.Avoiding plastic, palm oil, UPF and Nestlé0
