Right, have been on hold for 70 minutes so far, and counting. This is the second time today, last time I gave up after an hour. Is anyone else having similar issues?

Seems like a long time considering from 5-8pm last night there was no queue on Tax Credits lines. Might be worth calling between 3pm and 5pm on a weekday other than Monday or as Houseunderwater said, at 8am.No One I Think Is In My Tree.:cool:0 -
I've only ever been on hold for 10 minutes at the most and I always call them at about 3pm.0

I wonder how long you will wait once Universal Credit gets rolled out? These are my own views and you should seek advice from your local Benefits Department or CAB.0

Ive never been on hold ...perhaps its the times I call? After the orignal 5-10min of clicking loads of buttons it usally goes straight through.People don't know what they want until you show them.0

Very strange. After being on hold for 90 minutes I called the same number from another phone and picked different options. Got straight through whilst the other phone was still on hold.
Some sort of voodoo going on there!0
