My local store has stopped taking printed coupons as of today, and clamped down on every till with an iron fist. I had a very nice chat with the manager who said the reason was someone in the area has been using coupons that scan £1 off a time, when they have not been buying the products. I didn't properly understand her at first, but she said there is a genuine re-printable coupon that scans, but doesn't ask if they have brought the product. Apparently over £200+ of them have been used in the past week!
They will now only allow coupons that are stores own, or are traceable - the smart type ones. Even then they need a manager to check each coupon.
There's a huge increase in couponers since its been so publicized on TV facebook and I feel this is a huge knock to people who were genuinely trying to save a few pence each week!
I still got my J2o at half price, so not to moan too much.Wishing you all good luck!

looks like I am doing a round trip collecting coke zero 2lt and carling zest as I go for msl. adding in a single carling in sainsbobs.
Looking at my friday finest shop I need to buy my meal deals seperately for coupons to work as did use 3 x £2 ones just dont know which ones:eek:
I know savvy pointed out coke 24 packs were down to £5 earlier this year but that was for a total of 3 weeks so I think £7 is ok for fuel as I want to use a £4 wys as well and can put coke with each meal deal.
Contenplating a small chest freezer for garage (never thought I would say that as only got fridge freezer last year coping with only freezer box before).
Only good ideas on purchase of freezer?
Got some chefs pledge and l'oreal to print then going to take a look at ssm to see what is around.

I can only see that the forum is closed for 2 -3 hours from 00.30 on Tues 23 July, not the weekend !!!!!My local store has stopped taking printed coupons as of today, and clamped down on every till with an iron fist. My local Sainsbobs, is like this, will not accept any voucher of any kind even if the safe type, just point blank no. So annoying when they are personalised to you to use in a certain store.0 -

Waited about 20 mins today for Asda to decide AT LAST that I could use my Dr Oetker vouchers - was initially saying could just use 1 - we never buy in 1's. Pretty peeved as had other frozen stuff too. Took about 4-5 people to eventually decide they could be used - told them they were smart coupons all different with my name & postcode on - apparently they have been done with quite a few coupons lately - probably the fake ones off ebay?
Did 2 shops the 2nd a Sainsbury's J2O one results in a few minutes. Think the lady was so embarrassed with me waiting so long she took the J2O even though they didn't scan.
Seems like there are a LOT of fakes around at the moment & they are tightening up. I suppose the extreme couponing threads on here don't help.0 -

.
Clicked on the blue underlined word "closed"
and you will see this
When will this happen?
From approx 12.30am Tues 23 July the forum will be unavailable for around two to three hours.
From 7pm on Fri 26 July the forum will be unavailable for around three hours, then will go into "read-only" mode until Sunday 28 July (earlier if possible!)
NB In "read-only" mode you’ll be able to read the Forum but not join or log in, post, thank, send PMs etc. Buttons that normally allow this eg thanks, reply etc won’t be visible.
