GARNACHA - not to be confused with Grenache - you may have to get this from the wine section.

White label with Old Vine Selection in small gold letters at the top. Also a square black label above the main label with a red squiggle (like an infinity sign turned sideways) which I think is meant to represent a Spanish bull.

Thats very interesting - I missed the fact the the pies were 'British Classic'. I will have another bash tomorrow when todays PP becomes valid.

 Mr A's have, with no fanfare, put up the price of their unleaded petrol by 2 pence a litre. Still doesn't alter my view that, a couple of days ago, you would have been best getting fuel from A rather than losing £3.80 (the cost of the Flora Buttery) to T in order to get 'a few pence' a litre off (okay it depends on how much fuel you actually use, but it seems to me most people would not have got more than £3.80 off - it seems to be 5p/L times 6, in other words 6 Flora Butterys or £22.80). I wouldn't even pay them £2 for those Floras!

I think it'd be better to get the Flora Buttery 1kg - if you absolutely have to have that - at A, vs M, if you have an A available to you - and therefore £1.80 - even if M's price happened not to be picked up on the APG, in my view you'd stand a much better chance in A refunding you the difference+10%, if not more (as a GC the to compensate), rather than T refusing to price match. However, better priced options are available - such as the Bertolli 500gs in 2s A vs T.

Perhaps an idea, although it wouldn't compensate, would be, instead of complaining to T about the Flora Buttery, complain to Morries instead about T not price matching their price. They might well be interested to hear how T hasn't matched their price! Perhaps also copy your complaint to Which? (whether or not you are a member) - they have qualifying powers to take action under Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts rules, if indeed that's what it is (a contractual relationship), and 'unfairness' - or rather 'good faith' - is assessed looking at the whole promotion - and therefore including the prominent advertising claims and what is said to consumers that way and also in whether, in practice, the trader actually invokes and seeks to rely on what is commonly called the 'small print' (which it seems T does here), e.g. perhaps in order to avoid meeting their prominent claim. Though I'm sure T have armies of lawyers to make sure their promotions are legal.

If you had seen my post last night you would have seen that my bill came to £41.09, after mocs £8.84 and I had a pp for £8.78.

So I don't think I lost out on the 10% do you ?

T's have alot more moc's available than A's so a hell of a lot easier to get the total right down.

    :p

I'm always impressed when I see your shops posted.
