Not bored of the hot weather but definitely bored of the high pollen count. It's driving me bonkers. So much to my week off. I'm just sneezing and coughing and all that!
Hope everyone else is enjoying the weather though.
QOC my gorgeous lady, how are you? How is thr 5:2 going? I have not been doing the 5:2 religiously i.e. going to about 1000 calories on diet days but I have lost 5lb now! Woohoo. Hope everyone else is making some progress.0 -

I had a reply from landladies own repair company. A woman of few words reply read 'Tomorrow someone will come'.
My thoughts entirely that bath panel should be easy to remove and that it is likely a new washer or trap is all that is needed.
I will see if someone turns up tomorrow. If not then I will mail her to say as she failed to send someone and I waited in, I will employ plumber and send her the bill.
I can not see the error being my fault. As the damage is not due to my negligence the landlady can't make me claim for the damage to the walls on my contents insurance can she. My tennancy says I have to insure her kitchen and bathroom suite incase I cause damage to it like break sink ect.
The wall and ceiling downstairs will need drying out and mending but I am sure this should not be at my cost.
I will report back tomorrow after plumber has been.
I will be having a bath tonight but will pop over to mums for it.

Your contents insurance won't cover damage to the building incurred from a leak above.
That would be a claim from the buildings insurance ( that your landlady has to have by law all the time the building is mortgaged)
The only way LL can claim back from you is, if you had continued to use the bath allowing the leak to worsen once you were aware and had reported it, but you haven't done that so i'd say not a leg to stand on, ( others with greater knowledge feel free to shoot me down :rotfl: )
I'd be asking for a small rent reduction by way of compo for the inconvenience :cool:Back to square one, no apg, no comment.0 -

Thanks zippy but having bath and mastic is in good condition. Far too much water coming through wall for mastic to be the probelm.

Thank you to whomever was talking about the G&B choc this morning, looked up and found an unopened box of 12, which is perfect for teachers pressies due at the end of the week.
Also had an email from Showfilmfirst yesterday with an invite to Kathryn Jenkins picnic at Tatton Park, so 4 Tickets for that for free, They are still for sale at 130 quid for a family ticket.
This is like a Last Night thing with Land of Hope and Glory etc. Fireworks and big orchestra, so should be great.
And also had an email from IKEA, as had filled in an online form a while ago where they were looking to measure peoples houses and see how they lived. Have been selected and they will give me a £50 voucher for my time which is good.
So a good day, maybe buy a lottery ticket!0
