Gosh, how rather exciting. I never win anything, but I am totes excited on your behalf! Woooooooooo.

Bit of a little offer on Mr Shoes . com

Certain Bonjoir items are on 3 4 2, but you also get a pair of free Bonjoir Paris sunglasses if you buy 3 items. The cheapest option is the make up sharpener which is £2.50, so 3 4 2 = £5 and a free pair of sunnies.

I'd like to add my thanks to all those who give blood, as I just heard yesterday that my friend's two year old nephew has leukaemia :(
My niece succumbed to leukaemia last year :( Big hugs.

Think of all the donations you have made Mark and what a huge difference they have made to people. I haven't commented on all of the chat about giving blood so far, as it makes me very emotional.
My OH received a substantial amount of blood after being injured in Afghanistan, 6 pints :( and without a doubt wouldn't be here if he hadn't.
So to everyone that gives even 1 pint :A:A:A:A:A

I have always given blood, but I certainly have more of an appreciation now of just how precious the stuff really is!!!

My DH needed about the same amount of blood when he was left lying in the road as a teenager after being knocked off his motorbike by someone high on drugs driving a stolen car on the wrong side of the road. Very lucky to still be here.

This is probably old news (if so, I'm sorry but better twice than not at all!).

The current T's magazine has a 40p coupon for Happy Eggs (large or medium). Thre large are £2 and medium £1.75 in T's but my local Asda has both sizes at £1 for 6. MSM only has the large at £1 in ASDA so the medium may have gone up in Asda since last night - but 6 large at £2 in T's less 40p coupon and a £1 PP seems excellent value if you like these eggs.

Not read back properly yet but saw ellie and peeps posted re orthodontic treatment and remembered this. My neice had what was called an underbite (think bottom jaw sticking out more than top) and it seemed to be getting worse. SIL and her family were living in France at the time and orthodentist advised a kind of clear full face mask that would eventually make the jaws re align. Neice had to wear it at night and boy, did she hate it. Anyway, everybody persevered telling her it would be worth it - and she is now a beautiful young lady with perfectly aligned jaws. If left it would have gotten worse. Just read similar situation of a girl in this country who has gone through some excruciating stuff having her jaws surgically re aligned.

Hopefully she will get as good a result as my neice but in some ways we seem to be so far behind other countries.

    I agree especially USA .

    Recipe please :j

Got loads of elderflowers and fancy doing something with them :)

I got it from River Cottage have adapted it slightly this
    About 25 elderflower heads
Finely grated zest of 3 unwaxed lemons and 1 orange, plus their juice (about 150ml in total)
    1kg sugar
1 heaped tsp citric acid (optional)

Inspect the elderflower heads carefully and remove any insects. Place the flower heads in a large bowl together with the orange and lemon zest.
Bring 1.5 litres water to the boil and pour over the elderflowers and citrus zest. Cover and leave overnight to infuse.

Strain the liquid through a scalded jelly bag or piece of muslin and pour into a saucepan. Add the sugar, the lemon and orange juice and the citric acid (if using).

Heat gently to dissolve the sugar, then bring to a simmer and cook for a couple of minutes.

Use a funnel to pour the hot syrup into sterilised bottles. Seal the bottles with swing-top lids, sterilised screw tops

most people recommend using less sugar ,today I have used 75% splenda and 25% sugar ,I have tasted and it suits me so adjust accordingly.

    Lots of good uses.
