Question regarding Overpayment

I just wanna clarify something..

I am in the process of trying to figure out where they say they've overpaid me by £12K.. but in the last 3-4yrs I aint had any money from them at all. Its been coming off the overpayment amount which was around £20K.

If its proven an error would I get that back or is it history??

You need to ask for a full explanation of how they say the overpayment occurred then you can think about whether to dispute the overpayment with them or not.

If it is their error then yes you would be entitled to have any money they have reclaimed paid back to you.
